Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT-K ) Best Private Engineering College in West Bengal

Heritage Institute of Technology (HIT-K )was set up in 2001. Management Education Centre of HIT-K, which is accredited by NBA, has been accorded an independent status by AICTE as Heritage Business School (HBS) in 2013. It is an effort of 23 Kolkata based like-minded industrialists who joined hands to form a charitable educational foundation "Kalyan Bharti Trust (KBT)" to maximise their dreams of serving the Society .HIT is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology.

Heritage Institute of Technology conducts various workshops and seminars to provide exposure to the students. It also facilitates industrial visits to make them industry-ready. To combat anxiety, depression or any psychological relates issues and to make the best of their learning environment, the institute has set up its own counselling cell so that students can come for counselling whenever they feel related to any academic, personal or career related problems.

The institute has received the ‘Most Preferred Engineering Institute of 2020’ award from ASSOCHAM and was ranked at 150^th position under Engineering category by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2019.

Placement Experience

From 3rd semester exams, students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Wipro, cognizant, IBM, ITC Infotech, persistent system, IBM, Microsoft, Amazon. Microsoft highest package was 16 lacs. The Institute signed an MOU with the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), NJ, USA for a student exchange programme under which the first batch of 20 students had a 6-week training programme at NJIT during 2008 and the second batch of students are also undergoing training programme at present. Almost 80% of students get placement every year.
